Wonderful news! Today we went to the Ubidia School in Otavalo and were overjoyed to see the preschool classroom fully operating with the use of so many of the toys that we brought for the children to play with. There were 3 tables filled with children playing with playdoh and the tools with which to create all sorts of things in clay. 2 children were building structures independently on the floor with connecting manipulatives. And there was 1 child on the floor building a farm and housing the farm animals within the quilted barn which makes a mooing sound. Not only were the children delighted, but so was their teacher. We could not have been happier to see the room full of independent and cooperative play.
